PDF to Word

Convert PDFs into editable Word documents.

Requires a connected backend. PDF to Word needs server-side processing that can't run in a browser alone. The upload flow, progress states and error handling below are fully built and ready to call our documented API — see BACKEND-API-CONTRACT.md.

About PDF to Word

PDF to Word turns a static PDF back into an editable .docx file — recovering paragraphs, headings and tables as real, editable Word content rather than one big image. Doing this well requires layout analysis and text reconstruction that goes well beyond what pdf.js or pdf-lib can do in a browser; it's the kind of document-understanding task real conversion services run on a server.

This page is built as a complete, production-ready frontend that calls a documented backend API (see BACKEND-API-CONTRACT.md) to perform that reconstruction. Once a backend implementing that contract is connected, this page needs no further changes.
