Make your photo smaller than 50 KB
Exam forms, recruitment portals and government applications often require a photograph or signature below 50 KB, and sometimes between 20 KB and 50 KB. This tool resizes and compresses your image to fit, while keeping faces and handwriting clear.
How it works
- Upload your image — drop one or more photos or scans into the box above. JPG, PNG and WEBP are accepted.
- Pick your target size — the first option is selected for you.
- Resize and download — the tool finds the best quality that fits. One file downloads as a JPEG; several download together as a ZIP.
Common uses
- Passport-size photographs for application forms
- Scanned signatures and thumb impressions
- Recruitment, test and admission portals
- ID card and certificate scans
Photo or signature?
For a signature, crop tightly around the ink on white paper before resizing, so the small file budget is spent on the signature itself. For a photo, crop to head and shoulders first. Both come out much clearer at 50 KB.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reduce a photo to 50 KB?
Upload the photo, keep “Under 50 KB” selected and click Resize Image. The tool finds the highest JPEG quality that fits, and reduces the dimensions only if it has to.
The form says 20 KB to 50 KB. Which option do I choose?
Choose “20–50 KB”. The tool keeps the file inside that range, raising quality if the file comes out too small.
Can I resize a signature to under 50 KB?
Yes. Scan or photograph the signature on white paper, crop it, then resize it here. The result is a clear JPEG under 50 KB.
Are my files private?
Yes. All processing happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
